I sit here a shadow of my youth

The darkness hides the years

But each step betrays what you can’t see

The desire still burns even when you know it’s not true

Happy memories are what remain of years gone by

Something I can’t compare to in today’s light

The storm that once was my life was the fire running through my veins

Today the flame is barely alive

Silence has become the only friend you can trust 

As the rest of the world thinks your insane

No one cares for what you have to say

But they know how I should live, how to behave

Did I loose my faith in who I was as you have lost what you believed

I might be done in the eyes of those who can’t see what’s real

I’ve always dreamed of what I wanted to embrace

To hold what I love within all of my heart

The night has begun

I still remember what’s important
