As the shadows grow long
I regress with the fading light
As the longest night begins

Thousands of sunsets
And as many nights
Memories as many as there are stars in the sky
Every night is the longest night

Sailing from one to the other
Touching feelings now past
Some filled with hate others with love
The start of the longest night

It’s the longest night
As I get lost in my thoughts
In my feelings
It’s the longest night when looking at was

Filled with rage and passion
Dizzy or crazy with desire
Until the sun rises I go mad
On this longest night

The night sky is the stage to this act
As I rewind the film one more time
Until I see the credits at the end
On this longest of nights

The sun rises like a saviour in the east
While the moon disappears in the west
Until tomorrow
