There are times I find myself
Lost in my thoughts
Void and unaware
What is happening around me

Does the here and now matter
When you don’t fit in
Dreams reach out into tomorrow
Some get lost in the here after

We spend so much time
Living in the world our parents were in
We get lost in the today
So how can we survive in the tomorrow

The world was free when I was born
No fences or any barriers
Today invisible walls threaten the world
Tomorrow is a dream

Slowly a mist is moving over the earth
Shrouding our thoughts
The one freedom that we can control
Twisting and bending it to something I don’t understand

There are times I find myself
Lost in my thoughts
Wishing I could stay there
Dreaming of yesteryears
