THUNDER
LIGHTNING
RAIN
Rain and more rain
Looking up to the sky
Feeling the torrent crashing down
Beating reality into a worn face
Washing away the dust of time
Even the rain is not pure anymore
Our sins wash down on us
Burning our flesh
Scaring us down to the soul
Puddles of poison
Reflect the distorted true
Our twisted faces ripple away in tiny waves
To the edge of no return
Once tears of life rained down
Bitter tears now scorch the ground
Until nothing is left for tomorrow
But the one last tear of a mother called earth
