Horizons ©©

I hear the train whistle calling my name
Telling me it’s time to roll down that road
Calling me to ride on that long lonely track
Over mountains and unknown horizons

To sit on top of the world
And feel the rush of the wind on your face
To chug down to unknown tomorrows
Seeking better todays

Yesterdays are never forgotten
They fuel the search for tomorrow
While we live today with hope
Of more yesterdays to remember

Miles upon miles pass before our eyes
To see new land, remember people
Miles to go and more people to see
I follow a train’s whistle calling my name to the other side

On top of the world we sit
To watch and feel
To know and want
New horizons

Walker

Breathtaking and so very true. The past, the present, the future....they all help to determine who we were, who we are and who we will become.
