Standing on the brim of eternity
Staring out at all the horizons at once
Watching the sun set in the west
And rise in the east at the same time
While I stand in the center of time
Witness the smiles from some
Anger from others
Tears of joy
Some of sadness
While I stand in the center of time
I watch the sky turn black
The ground red
The rivers swell their shores
Drowning the land around
While I stand in the center of time
Lightning cracks the darkened sky
Hurling insults to the earth
Laughing at what it knows is coming
Snarling at the huddled masses
While I stand in the center of time
The sky whips the earth
While a torrent from the north creeps in
Riding a wave down from the sky
Washing away what’s left below
While I stand in the center of time
The water laps at the brim of eternity
Licking at my feet as I stand there staring
Staring at nothing left but me
Until I fall back and drown into the past
While the earth stands alone at the center of time
