Melting Snow ©©

When I wake up in the morning
With the sun in my face
I wonder where this day will go
Will it be remembered in the tomorrow?

Or will it all melt away like the pure white snow

In the morning will you still be here
Like you were the night before
Will your smile find me when I wake up?
Will the room still smell sweet of you?

Or will it all melt away like the pure white snow

The morning washes away the shadows
Removing the shroud of deception
The blanket of comfort and illusion
Will the confidence still remain?

Or will it all melt away like the pure white snow

Morning rays fill the room
Energizing soul and mind
Freed from the bonds of darkness
Will it all be the same?

Or will it all melt away like the pure white snow

In the morning
When I wake up
In the mirror I will see who is standing there
Will it be me?

Or will it all melt away like the pure white snow

It will melt away, but the residue shall still remind one of the past. Nicely written, as always!

I liked this line the best. It reads a little like a song... is it from diary of a madman? (ozzy?)

The song in the backround reminds me of basketball game music... I am stumped on that song name too.

Best regards,
Tom Bailey

Tom Bailey: No, the posts labeled Diary of a Madman are posts I don't remember writing but found in my discarded files.
Some go back years
